+ HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

This is dependent on the type of injury, your injury history, and the goals you're trying to achieve.

That said most clients feel better, move better, and are ready to perform within 6-10 sessions spread over 3-6 months. Over the course of our time together your self care program will progress based off of how you're performing, shared decision making, and the goals in mind. This in turn arms you with reassurance, empowerment, and the confidence you need to obtain your goals.

If we are not making progress with your care, a referral to the appropriate health care professional may be necessary. If a situation like this comes up, we will make our best recommendations so you can make an informed decision.

+ HOW OFTEN DO I SCHEDULE MY SESSIONS?

Initially we recommend that you schedule your follow up sessions 5-7 days apart. This gives you time to test drive your self care program you have been armed with and for feedback to take place between sessions.

+ CAN I KEEP WORKING OUT AND TRAINING AS I GO THROUGH CARE?

The answer to this question hinges on your injury history and current complaint. In most cases we advocate that you continue to be active to maintain fitness levels and to closely monitor your symptoms. Through your tailored self care program, we will be able to arm you with the tools to be successful in your recovery.

+ DO I NEED AN X-RAY PRIOR TO SEEING YOU?

No. Imaging is only warranted if red flags pop up through taking an inventory of your history and your evaluation (i.e. you fell, something hit you, cancer, and other serious conditions). Otherwise it's not a productive use of time and resources and it doesn't usually change the course of care. + ONCE MY COMPLAINT IS RESOLVED, DO YOU RECOMMEND PERFORMANCE + RECOVERY CARE?

It depends on your case, injury history, sport demands, and what life is throwing at you. Just like we get the oil changed and the tires rotated in the car every 5,000 miles or so, a tune up can help with performing at a high level despite not dealing with an issue. Performance and Recovery memberships are now avaliable! Email info@movementmedicinerx.com for more information.

+ DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE OR HSA/FSA?

We are an out-of-network provider and do not participate with insurance directly. HOWEVER if you have out of network benefits, upon request an itemized bill can be provided after your session which you can submit to your insurance for a reimbursement review. Once your insurance reviews your itemized bills they will reimburse you directly. We accept HSA/FSA.

We are not a participating provider with Medicare. Medicare dictates that those with Medicare coverage must see provider's in their network for covered Chiropractic services which only include spinal adjustments. We are, however, able to see client's for services not covered by Medicare such as soft tissue work like Active Release Techniques, extremity adjustments, and therapeutic exercise for rehabilitation / performance purposes.

+ WHY ARE YOU OUT OF NETWORK?

A distinguishable aspect of Movement Medicine is that each session is 60-90 minutes of one-on-one time between client and doctor. A client will always have the undivided attention of a single doctor, there is no hand off to assistants and ample time can be devoted to the particular needs of each client.

This promotes a higher quality of care and being an out-of-network provider allows the doctor to practice this model that results in better health outcomes and greater client satisfaction while reducing the need for multiple sessions in a given week.

The majority of in-network chiropractic clinics, while maybe cheaper up front, do not offer one-on-one treatment sessions and often times suggest that you need to be seen for mulitple sessions in a week. This model of care will often rely on using passive care modalities (such as hot packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation) and low threshold exercises & interventions, supervised & administered by assistants to handle the large volume of clients in the clinic at any given time.

No TWO clients are exactly the same, and we care about attending to YOUR specific goals and individualized needs that gives you the best care that you can possibly receive.

+ WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICY?

If you cancel or reschedule, we require a 24 hours advance notice. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, you will be charged for the session.
